I love snow!, but...

Snow fell all day and anything over 500 meters away faded away into the whiteness. However, today I did not love the snow! Temperatures around freezing meant damp snow, melting as it landed on the road, or on me for that matter. It felt cold and raw. Slush covered the ground, rather than snow.
This is the downside of spring - the gap between the beautiful snow and the new green growth. In the best of years that gap is about a week. In the worst of years the gap is about three months!  This year looks to be somewhere between those two extremes - a normal year.
