Nuts and hatches

Another cloud and chilly day.

After breakfast we called round to daughters, as they are off on holiday shortly. Hub stayed there as he was running an errand with her.
I nipped off to the Flash for an hours blipping :-)

I went in search of the Kingfisher, to no avail. The river is still a mess from the floods at Christmas. I've emailed the council since I got home, pointing out that it's about time they cleared up the debris, which includes traffic cones and tyres!! It's a real eyesore.

I walked the circuitous route and popped into the various hides to see what was going on.
There's one particular hide that is always a hive of activity and this is where I spotted this lovely little nuthatch.

They flit back and forth so fast! This is the best shot I got IMHO......I was almost above it so it didn't spot me hanging my lens out of the hide, lucky for me :-) it's a bit grainy due to a higher ISO

After an hour or so I packed up and drove to Lidl to pick up some shopping. They had some great deals on, especially their beef and pork joints.....I used a £5 off voucher too ;-)

Daughter had already dropped hub back at home when I got in. Shopping away then lunch......a turkey salad sandwich, which was rather tasty.

I think I'm going to make prawn and crayfish linguini for dinner, with a tomatoe and chilli sauce.

I can't believe it's almost 5pm......where has the day gone?????!!!!!

Thoughts with those in Brussells :-(
