Has Autumn come early this year?

The Cherry trees on the village green usually have a very spectacularly colourful display of leaves mid October to early November. On my way to the post office this afternoon I was surprised to see two of the trees bearing autumnal leaves. OK, it's only a few but it did make me wonder if summer being given a miss this year!
