Night Work
We are still on Summer Time so the mornings are dark. This morning I went out well before dawn to look for night creatures. I don’t know how to look for them and all I found was a few spiders. Then I had trouble focussing by torchlight and then shooting with the flash. Still, for a first attempt, I was pleased with a couple of shots, including this one. It’s the under parts of a grey house spider (Badumna longinqua), a native of Australia. They hitched their way across the Tasman in Colonial times and are now common and widespread in New Zealand.
