Tiny Tuesday . . . Honesty
I had rather a good day in the art room today. The first class added some pastel and a wash of dye to their clay tile that featured a bike part. The various pedals, cranks, wheels, chains looked very good. They had attached all the bits securely and none had fallen off as the tile air dried. The next class of 6 year olds were a nightmare when I first encounted them this year but they have settled down and are now drawing detailed pictures. They drew a picture of them on their bike or scooter with pen and then painted it with coloured dyes. It is parent interview afternoon/evening and I sure don't miss having to do that. I did do road crossing duty and felt rather old when an ex pupil came to collect his five year old son. The cycle continues. This honesty flower is continuing it's cycle by scattering seeds which will populate the garden next spring.
We are moving from this house to retire in another area hopefully by November this year and there are many things we are doing for the last time here. It is the start of autumn/fall and I will have to treasure this last autumn in my garden of 30 years.
