Our little star

Gail and I received a phone call from Adam's school last Friday, asking if we could both attend assembly this morning as Adam had been nominated for the 'Gary Thomson' award for outstanding achievement for the year. Gary Thomson was a teacher at the school, but tragically died after contracting meningitis at the age of 29 in 2009. In total 7 students were up for nomination, unfortunately Adam didn't win the award, but nevertheless, Adam was delighted, as were Gail and I that he was chosen for nomination out of all of the other children in the school.
