Krakow Funsies

Good morning Krakow!!

In our sleep deprived states from the overnight train (see yesterday's blog) we managed to find our hostel. Due to arriving so early we thought we would not be able to check-in, however, we were!! Dwyer thought Melody was about to kiss the receptionist with excitement that she could get a couple of hours kip in a real bed!!

After the much needed sleep, we forced ourselves out of bed to see some of the sights of Krakow. Dwelody were NOT impressed with the weather though... having had a month of being over 30 degrees with glorious sunshine, and now being confronted with the now 20 degrees and Polish rain! We meandered around the Old Town square, listened to a busker bashing out some tunes on only pans and bins, watched some crazy break-dancers and sampled some yummy Polish chocolates!

After a relaxing meander and maybe a little too much coffee, we ventured back to the hostel to get ready for a Saturday night in Krakow! Seeing as all throughout the day we witnessed the obviously hungover groups of lads, stag dos, and backpackers we knew exactly what we were letting ourselves in for! Standard dolling up sesh before meeting up in the hostel of our new train buddies (The Stokes - Adam and Reuben and the Scots - Duncan, Dougie and Ruari) with the addition of two lovely Australians from their hostel.

Seeing as we were all in hysterics just being stuck in a train cabin, a night in Krakow was hilarious. Adam and Reuben made the bad decision of buying a £4 bottle of vodka (god knows what was in that..!?) after a cheeky drinking game before going out the boys were already off their faces! They did however make it to the club...for a good half hour? :P

The rest of the group danced crazily until the early hours! (See picture from left to right - Dwyer, Melody, Duncan, Ruari and a wonderful pose from Charles at the front). Boy did we dance... the club was cracking out some old school 90s tunes much to everyone's delight. Dougie and Duncan showed some incredible moves including the 'catching a fish' dance routine - beautiful! And of course Dwelody pulled out the usual Dance routine...although Duncan and Melody tried their best to get Call Me Maybe played THEY DIDN'T KNOW IT!! Very upsetting...Spice Girls had to do...

After copious amounts of wine, rum, polish shots (?!), Dwelody strolled home to see the sun starting to creep into the sky. Brilliant night.

Much love,

Dwelody xxx
