Bruntingthorpe

Today was fascinating. I spent it at Bruntingthorpe, a former wartime RAF airfield that is now a proving ground as well as a storage centre for cars and aircraft. I was attending a masterclass in driving skills by a man who coaches Formula One drivers on exploring techniques help them to go faster. He does so in Vauxhall cars!

It was ironic that the drive back to Kent was anything but fast, as we sat still for two and a half hours while police dealt with an 'incident' on the Dartford bridge, apparently involving some poor devil wanting to jump off it. Hope he's safe and ok.
