Life with Gaia

By happyyoga

Taking a break from cooking, a little rest with Ed out in the yard, and this gal came by to ask for some Thanksgiving dinner...well, what cha gonna do? It is a good day for sharing, isn't it? (Every day is, I'd guess)

We had a very traditional dinner of salad, squash soup, ravioli, mock mashed potatoes (Crystal made them for me as I am unable to eat potatoes), cranberry sauce and lots of wonderful pie, cake, and homemade jalapeno poppers...what could say Thanksgiving Day more than ravioli and jalapeno?

We all enjoyed ourselves, but missed having Melody and Marya here. Mel is three hours earlier than we are, so she is just settling in with her new family for a carnivorous T-Day, which is something she is not used to. I think she has made something vegetarian though.

Marya couldn't fly home as she had to work, but the yoga center where she works always puts on a great big veggie spread, so I'm pretty sure she had a good T-Day.

I always think it is funny that we have a day to be thankful, when every day is such a good day to be thankful. Every day is a good day to look for whatever good we can find and praise it, especially since what we tend to seek is what we tend to find.

Anyway, in spite of missing Melody and Marya - Grandma, Ed, Crystal and Micah and I agreed there is a lot to be filled with gratitude about.

I hope you all had a great day!

(I just noticed my camera must be off...I took this on the 27th not the 26th...I don't get how that happened all of a sudden)
