Paint your palette blue and grey!!

A little photographic gathering at Brigham Rocks, North Yorks this evening.  I booked it ages ago via the National Trust for an evening of photographing stars... for the bargain price of £3.  Well shooting those little sparkly blighters was easier said than done!  There is clearly a knack... which eludes me!  And what the heck do you focus on... and how??? Any advice on shooting stars would be most welcome... and I'm not talking 'the dove from above'!!  

Frozen to the core... tired to the bones..but dreaming of stars - and catching them... one day!!! :)
