Up every lane and down every alley are dozens of shops selling carpets and bags. Some shops are grand affairs with their wares displayed proudly outside, whereas others are no more than cupboards with hundreds of items for sale crammed inside.

We went for a hike into the campo in the Riff valley in search of some waterfalls. Our guide Mohammad went to the mountain with us, and after an hour we arrived at some rather small, but beautiful cascades. The rain held off until we were nearly back at the car again, so we only got a little damp.

After dinner in Aladdin's Magic Lamp, we are now off to bed in the hope that the dog which has barked more or less non-stop for the past two nights is so exhausted by his exertions that we shall not hear him tonight.

The Mullahs, on the other hand, will be far more reliable...
