Treecreeper
Our Monday morning birding walk was along the Water of Leith from the visitor centre upstream to Peggy's mill and back. Spring weather still, so hats and gloves were shed as we went.
Nuthatches seen and heard at the Lanark Road end of the walk (in previous years I've only seen and heard them much further upstream). Goosander, bullfinch, chaffinch, robin were all showing well in bright breeding plumage as well as Blue Tits, Magpies and Jackdaws busy nest building.
We saw treecreepers in two places, but I only managed to capture this one - not the best photograph, but a lovely reminder of a nice morning with lots of birds and great company.
