Tour de France??

No, not quite! Geldern around Town race, held every year, it attracts about 60 riders from the local Clubs. Each Lap is about 1 KMs and there were 90 Laps! Early on they were taking just over 80secs a lap, but this pace slowed as the Race progressed, there were several leaders and small Groups, but then with 25 laps to go, the Club from Venlo in Holland got their act together and their "Train" soon carved thru the field and built a solid lead, finishing more than 10 seconds ahead of the Non Dutch! Quite impressive to see them working as a Team. We didn't stand watching all the time, but repaired to a nearby Pub and had a beer while the laps unwound...That is the way to watch a cycle race!
