A Steam Train Adventure

Day 2 of our trip to Stratford to see son S and his family and daughter in law C mentioned that 20 month old grandson Cameron had never been on a steam train so off we went to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway.
Perhaps this trip was designed for little C, who did enjoy it, but I think grandpa enjoyed it even more !
We boarded the train at Toddington and got off at Winchcombe - explored the lovely old town and after a pub lunch caught the vintage diesel ( see extra) back to Toddington.
So many childhood memories of the sounds and smells came flooding back .
