Bam!

We both attended The Photography Show at the NEC Birmingham today taking along a member of my (Chris) camera club too.

To begin with it was a day of meet ups, first I met some good friends who I've stayed in contact with since doing an Open University short course in photography back in 2011. Always nice to see how we've all progressed. Then onto a great meet up with other blippers at lunchtime (see the extra). The meet, arranged by MatthewHicks included LesleyAlsford, HelenJG, MPJG, WalkingMarj, LooseCanon, Technophobe, Colstro and Quod oculus meus videt (Graham Colling). I didn't get you all in the photo but it was great to chat with folk and catch-up.

The show was good, busy at lunchtime but not too bad to get around. As ever there was plenty to look at, demos to watch and bargains to be tempted by but aside from a free bag, our expenditure was limited to lunch and a single UV filter. Very restrained.

Next door Comi-Con was underway so there were the usual collection of bizarely dressed folk in attendance and some happy to be photographed including this lady. Not really up on my comics so I've no idea who she is dressed as!!
