Wells Cathedral

We had a wander around Wells this morning and a stroll across the fields towards Dulcote, followed by a coffee and cake in the cafe at the Bishop's Palace.

Don't think I've blipped the facade of the Cathedral in all its glory before- or at least for a while - so here it is. (Needed a bit of faffing to counteract the dull flat grey light!)

On one of my childhood holidays from my home in South London to my Aunt & Uncle's house in Exmouth my uncle drove us to Wells on a day trip and I have an old black & white photo taken from about the same spot as this.

Little did I know then that I would spend the majority of my adult life in this area.
