Aeroplane Friendship

Today we started our New Roz food distribution to refugees. It went really well. I love working in a team with a couple of expat ladies and our children. Today we met 6 new families and Little J was excited to make a new friend with a boy with whom he made paper aeroplanes and had a lot of fun flying them in the HUGE unfinished building these families have made into a home. There were also more goats to cuddle!

There were oodles of children in this refugee 'commune', none of whom go to school. It makes me SO sad. There's going to be a lost generation who have had no education. Today we were with at least 30 children none of whom have been to school for almost 2 years and have no prospect of going to one either. I would so love to start a school for them but I need more TIME!

Today is New Roz Eve so the city is full of fires and fireworks and tomorrow is the start of picnics. Happy New Roz everyone!
