You Raise Me Up.... to More than I can be

Being a mum... what can I say, it has so many great moments and today was up there with the best of them.

After the text last night.... "and maybe you could bring a plunger...."  I thought, I better be prepared.

I stopped off at the supermarket and stocked up... and headed over to Edinburgh for a short visit.

When I parked the car I noticed a text had come in about 2  minutes before I pulled up.  "Where are you? mum, are you okay?"

I headed up the stairs, to be met half way down the stairs by Tooli, in her pants and a woolie jumper.  She is still very orange from the spray tan last week.  And it was some vision up the stairs. ;_)

We went into the living room where the remnants of the Six Nations party was still evident.  As she plonked the bags down, the excitement bubbled over when she spotted the Krispy Kremes I'd stopped and got them for breakfast. ....

Then she saw the tomato sauce.  I had bought each of them a bottle.  One member of the Laids buys her own and has taken to hiding it... this morning, it was under the sofa.   The extra pictures show the joy of the two who were up.... at having a bottle of sauce each.

I can't quite explain by two packets of Bin liners had the same reaction, but it did.

Anyways, I digress.  I shoogled their sofas, got Tooli, to sweep the floor, and I commenced with the karcher.  I karchers all round the living room, and all the surfaces, I binned all the empty bottles and cans!  I got Tooli to take them out to the bin.

I did the hallway, and cleared out their junk mail... and then ventured into the bath room.  Oh god, that toilet had been blocked,.. some lovely had cleared it (maybe the one who blocked it)... but the mess remained. ..

I sprayed it to death, did one run with the karcher, and then sprayed it again, and karchered again.  Then I attacked the loo, again and again. A quick spin round the kitchen and my job was done.

Tooli and I headed up the town for a bimble, narrowly avoided the SDL Rally in the Royal Mile (why there for god's sake) ...  what a show for the tourists.; down the Mount, along the gardens, a wee stop for a coffee, and then back to the car...

So lovely, a few hours with my baba, lots of smiles, lots of chats, and a photo, that I hadn't seen before....

How can the two in the right of these snaps (courtesy of funkyphotobooth at L's 21st party :-) )... look like that on a night out... and like those in the extra photos!

I just look like the extra photos all the time.
