Ted with the Disabled Pool Lift.

We went swimming this morning and Ted thought the disabled pool lift with the canoe's was a different blip.
Over 30 years ago when I went to college one day a week for a management course I did my project about disabled pool lifts to find out if we needed one at our pool. If I thought we did I had to find the money to provide it. We had a adult disabled class running at the time and the pool had the old stone steps leading down into the water.
I decided we did need one and I found the money to buy one. The lift was moved to Colne pool when it was build as the new Nelson pool was a leisure pool and they didn't need it. The lift is still used today, more so as there are ladders down into the water now.
