The day of horror #2

Clearly the title & photo are unrelated! Today began with me recieving a text saying a plumber was FINALLY coming over (about 4 weeks late!) at the same time the doorbell went! So a sudden and rushed start!
He stayed for hours & sorted the problem, but by the time he left there was sewage & cockroaches everywhere...it was pretty horrendous. He even used our towels to clean up sewage!!!!!! Unfortunately the hottest our machine can wash on is 40 degrees, otherwise all the electrics cut out (& we can never boil a kettle AND wash clothes at the same time!) Needless to say, I think we're going to invest in new towels! I've mopped, remopped, and re remopped today!

We decided to treat ourselves to dinner out tonight as the day had been so yucky. We went to a lovely little Italian...they were SO kind to us, and when they heard we'd had a bad day, plied us with extra, free, shots of Neroni...a local Roman spirit.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The bathroom being fixed...& by a really lovely older Argentinian guy. He informed Asha he'd take her out dancing when she's bigger!
2) Drawing with Danny & Asha.
3) Kind people...the plumber....the couple who run the restaurant we ate at...our neighbour offering us help whenever we need him....my Mom & sister sending messages to buoy us etc...
