Stairway to Heaven?

Actually, it's the steps up to the pulpit in Ely Cathedral, the lighting has created lace like shadows of the wrought iron onto the stone steps.

M and I met our friends C & S in Ely today, half way for both of us, and we had a long, indulgent, leisurely lunch at The Old Fire Engine House.  It was great to see them again and to catch up with each other's news.
As I have an annual pass to the Cathedral I popped in briefly to take a photo for blip and left M in the menswear section of a clothes shop...by the time I caught up with him he had bought 2 shirts, a jumper and 6 pairs of socks!
