Another historical comparison...
Another in my current project of Then and Now images of Harrogate.
This comparison is slightly less successful because I have so far been unable to access a similar viewpoint for the current picture; I have settled for a photo taken from an upstairs window of a modern building (in fact the ladies only section of a local gym).
The lower picture shows the foundations for the original bus station around 1937, with parts of the railway station visible on the left.
The bus station today is much more recent, but the rear boundary wall is still standing.
There is a link to my previous shot in the series; the road connects the two sites and the footbridge across it can be seen in both modern images, from different sides.
