Grey Corries

While it was by no means cold in Lochaber today the air in our faces felt positively bracing after a few days of searing Toronto heat. The dogs looked happy to see us and they have clearly being well looked after by G and A. In addition our friends J and C who have Bob (Caley's brother) collected our guys and gave them their more usual three to five mile hikes a few times.
Anyway here we are -business as usual- tramping up the track at Upper Inverroy. It was tee shirt temperature walking but everyone had to pull on their jackets and raise their hood as the heavens opened. You can see the big black columns of rain sweeping across the Grey Corries. Its almost like someone has closed the curtains on them as shortly after this they were lost in the mist.
The Ontario climate (summer at least) and lifestyle is very seductive and the holiday has been excellent but this view -even in a dreich day is one I will never tire of. Its back to work shortly but it is nice to be home.
