Ready to go

Finished the final touches of packing and cleaning the flat. Weighed my suitcases on the bathroom scale using the subtract-your-original-weight-from-weight-holding-the-suitcase method. I was only 2 KGs over, but they usually gloss over small amounts but if they didn't I'll put my coat and towel in a plastic bag.

Got picked up at 6:30 to go to Heathrow, and midway there we were surprised by long stationary traffic. Out of all times an accident on the M40 today. I already thought about the alternative arrangements for my flight as I was fairly certain I am gonna miss it. But alas, I managed to arrive 40 minutes before departure. The lady at the counter told me I was not allowed to proceed as the counter is closed and I should head to the ticket office to reroute my ticket, but apparently me doing the online check-in meant I can still drop my luggage even if the counter is already closed! Phew!

Long flights awaiting. Going to try and sleep through them.
