Bratley View, New Forest

Today I headed down to the New Forest to meet up with friends and fellow blippers/SLPHers for the weekend.

Met up with Steve, Trevor, Gill and Cat at the Oak Inn in Lyndhurst for a spot of lunch before heading over to Bratley View. This shot is of the much photographed Scots pine (which looks very much like a pruned Bonsai tree), only a few yards from the car park at Bratley View near Mogshade Hill. Bit of an overcast day and pretty chilly - a few layers were needed, but it did stay dry for us! 

Later Jane joined up with us and we had dinner at The Four Horse Shoes pub just outside Southampton.  

Great day but now tired and ready for bed!
