Forsythia - Flower Friday

Wonderful Friday - after work I met two friends at a restaurant with patio seating... a couple of glasses of wine, some appetizers and some great conversation - it was very nice.

This Forsythia is growing between our house and the neighbor.  The flower itself is rather plain, but the yellow sheen that it makes in the underbrush is fabulous.  It is a harbinger of spring and doesn't last too long.  It is hard to photograph because it is the collective that makes an impression.
