Pond

We spent a fair few hours in the Botanic Gardens this afternoon, playing frisbee on the grass, and then ducking indoors each time it came on raining.

In the Kibble Palace there was a 'Cactus Event', although when we looked in, the cacti weren't doing that much to be honest. Round the back was the book fair that always takes place whenever there's a holiday weekend. And here's the heated pond in one of the main glasshouses.

I told Jack it was St Swithin's Day, explaining that it meant we were in for another forty days of rain at least. 'Hurray!' he said. 'We can go to Soft Play!'
