Waiting for dinner...

We disturbed this little chaffinch as we walked round the Common late this afternoon - he was on one of the feeders enjoying a peanut or two, but flew on to this branch as we passed by.

Lots happening on the Common at the moment. They (though I'm not sure who 'they' are) are still clearing the many trees blown down during the gales. And several replacement bird nesting boxes have been put up, including one for owls.
