Sunbathing

Posting this Thursday as I ran out of time last night - will be back with an abstract(hopefully) later!
On Tuesday afternoon the wooden flooring in the 'new' part of the dining room was finally varnished, so today we were able to start rearranging the furniture in its new layout. We had decided to move the piano  but it is so heavy that Mr MC and I had wait for reinforcements to arrive later in the afternoon to give us a hand with it.  It does look much better in its new home.
Lilly has remained largely upstairs since her bid for freedom on Monday, recovering nicely and prevented from escaping by the child stair gate.
Meanwhile Tinkerbell and Peggy Sue were initiated into the workings of the new catflap, which only allows cats to enter when their microchips have been registered with it.  Hopefully this will stop the large amount of 'pet accidents' that we've been suffering over the last couple of months.
Peggy Sue ( pictured here) has been fascinated by the goings on in the dining room and was the first to bag herself a chair and relax in the warm rays of the afternoon sun as they streamed through the glass doors.  The renovation is certainly a hit with her!
