Sad cameras

I was tidying up tonight, so decided to blip these two cameras, which have been cluttering up my computer table for weeks.  The Canon Demi C would once have been quite a nice camera.  It is a half-frame model, launched in 1963; it had a selenium meter (now missing) and an f/2.8 lens. The shutter still works, but the body doesn't close very well, so I don't think I'll rush to put film in it.  The second camera is one I bought to use. It's a Kodak EasyShare C643 from about 2005. I bought it as a refurbished model, because I wanted a cheap digital camera that I could carry in my pocket. It has an optical viewfinder as well as the LCD screen, which many cameras of this kind did not have at this time. It could take movies as well as still images. I looked up some old reviews tonight - they were pretty mediocre.  And now it is dead - I think maybe the batteries leaked - and it does nothing.
Found a wonderful webcam tonight; I've been watching the Aurora on it, in Shetland.
If you like my frogs, there's another in Extras.
