Visiting Columbus Park

This open air museum explores local history with artifacts and marks the place in Discovery Bay, St Ann where legendary explorer Christopher Columbus first trod upon Jamaican soil in 1494. It is currently in need of repair but the historical significance can still be felt when you look out into the harbour... I always enjoy stopping here whenever I travel to that side of the island...
