2016 Friday -- Nancy Reagan Remembered
I watched most of the Nancy Reagan Memorial after it had aired and I saw it in bits and pieces (because my calendar is very full at the moment). I was impressed with what I saw and heard of the celebration of her life.
On one hand she seemed very old school, especially when reading a statement like this, “My life really began when I married my husband,” from her official White House biography. One thing everyone knew about her is that she loved her man.
And on the other hand, she was very influential in her husband's role as President. She made an immense contribution to his presidency.
The Reagans loved America and their partnership was rare and wonderful and refreshing. I've appreciated the media's retelling of their story.
