horns of wilmington's cow

Bow before me my chicken underlings...

Last chance for a bit of shameless self-promotion asking you all to vote in the StAnza DigitalSlam (click here) - I'm number 7, Wailing Daily, with voting closing at midday tomorrow and the winner announced in the afternoon - I've received some lovely messages from one of the other shortlistees after I felt something of an interloper in what looks a rather professional lineup in places.

Today started with an attempted cyclocross training session, but the park was a bit full of walking dogs (and there a bike spinning round on the grasss is definitely the interloper) so I cut that short, and had tarmac based spin around instead. More cycling in the afternoon as we headed to the Ventoux to watch the end of the day's Tour stage with friends Iain and Mary. Pity it ws one of the more dull stages, the break providing little in the way of drama, and the main pack neutralising things after Evans punctured twice due to Etape Caledonia style carpet tack sabotage.

Walking to the pub through the park I'm positive there was actually a spot of Lady Findhorn, sneakily through her kitchen window. Not intended, but we were just talking about the fact that LF lived around where we were, then saw the cycling jerseyed form. Speaking of which, I've seen a cycling jersey I'd really really like for the Haughcross cyclocross next week. Temptation...

Now. Stop reading this and vote vote vote.

[EDIT] interesting synchronicity with the blip from this day last year...
