Raoul

Today has been a head-down, word-manufacturing, keyboard-pounding day. It's the other side to the glamorous jet-setting life of a motoring journalist. Alpine driving, Courchevel and a posh hotel yesterday, monitor gazing at home in Kent today.

Happily the family, the dog, the cat and even the snake seem happy to have me at home for a few days. It will be Raoul's fortnightly feeding day on Saturday. So if he's pleased to see me, it's probably mostly about the upcoming meal!
