Peas in a Pod

Our last day in Sutton was a combination of rather industrious morning trying to get the house ready for leaving and then a good lunch with S, D, P and Z who kindly made sure we were fed before taking a taxi to New St and on to our journey by train to Heathrow Terminal 5. 

I had booked a hotel as close to Terminal 5 as possible so we would be able to have a good nights sleep and only have a short trip to the terminal for our flight.  What caught my attention when I booked the hotel was the unusual transit option available between terminal and hotel.  This is the POD - a 4 seater...well, POD that has rubber tires and is basically a driverless car on a track.  It backs in and out of its parking place then takes you along a track to and from the terminal - this was definitely something novel and felt like we were riding in a Johnny Cab in 'Total Recall' for those of you who have seen the film!  Couldn't resist this being today's blip.
