Dolly and the pigeon

We helped rescue a pigeon today! Our neighbour discovered it in the garden, a cat was after it and it couldn't fly! She brought it up to us as she knew we had birds! The poor wee thing was awfully thin, but seemed otherwise unscathed! My neighbour had already phoned Hessilhead wildlife sanctuary, but I ended up driving him to them! They are going to give him some antibiotics and feed him up until he's well enough to be released, I will phone for an update later in the week! I love pigeons, I think they are fantastic birds, I would have loved to have kept him!
