Shows

Took this on Saturday, but forgot to blip! The day was dominated by Miss L's two shows at Fettes. I guess the aim of the statue was to inspire the boys with the memory of the School's glorious dead, so it was ironic that the show included songs from "Oh what a lovely war!". 

After ferrying my parents and two friends to and from the first show and helping Mme A buy a bike for her great ride to France in the summer, I went to the second performance with A, Miss K and Mlle N. It was great to hear L sing "Keep the home fires burning" with the emotional intensity that had brought her grandmother to tears in the first show.
