The gift that keeps on giving

Previously seen here and here. S has stopped asking why I don't throw out wilted cut flowers. There's a softer version in the extras. The Year with my Camera course has definitely encouraged me to try out different ways of treating the same subject; I took this a dozen different ways.

I have been reading Barbara Vine's A Dark-Adapted Eye; not my usual type of read, but what a clever writer she is! So well constructed; it might seem slow-moving but the gathering sense of doom is compelling.
