Van life!

I didn't leave Auckland until 1.30pm but mostly because I was busy booking flights while I still had reliable wifi. I packed the van and set off south to Taupo, stopping only for fuel and food shopping.

I walked in to the town centre, had a tasting paddle of four craft beers to celebrate the start of my trip and then went for a curry. I thought about going out for some drinks afterwards but town was dead so I walked home and had my first night in the van. It wasn't the best night's sleep but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly!
