Shags Roost......

Returning from Mapua pastel class through the city to collect our mail,I spotted this little Shag who had been spreading its wings to dry(  its feathers are not waterproof like a ducks.)....
I stealthily changed my lens to a 300 and crept behind a  flax bush to zoom in on this bird,relaxing on a log in the river.....!!
