Magnolia

This tree is at St John church in Lawrence. This year it has flowered for at least a week which is unusual. Most years it either gets caught by a late frost or it is completely decimated by a storm. Although we had 2.4 inches of rain yesterday evening, it has survived well. Now it is losing petals naturally and the ground is carpeted in pink petals. The extra shows a close up of the flowers.
