Penstemon coming out

A beautiful but windy day today. Spent the whole day working on bushes and weeds without needing a jacket. Found a number of penstemon plants coming up and they have multiplied greatly over the last couple of years. These are really beautiful flowers in the summer. Must not get complacent though as the forecast calls for snow late Thursday (2 to 12 inches depending on who is doing the forecasting).
