Sun and shimmering sea

After watching Country File last night, we decided on a day out today, as the weather was supposed to be good.......and it was :-)

Beautiful blue skies, sunny, chilly but warm in the sunshine. We drove over to the West Coast and parked up at Crosby and spent a very pleasant 4 hours walking up and down the coastal path.

We called in the swimming pool for a cuppa, and decided to order a sandwich. There was a chap at the counter creating, as he'd been waiting 40 minutes for a jacket potatoe and some chips!! I ordered two tuna melts and went to sit down. About ten minutes later a woman came across and said " did you order a tuna melt?" I said I actually ordered two! "Oh, right, well I'm sorry, but we haven't got any cheese" I just said we'll leave it then.....Talk about a shambles......we got better service from the mobile cafe on the seafront. We had a bacon and sausage barm, which was very tasty, and half the price!!

We must have walked 5/6 miles in all.......it was busy with walkers, joggers, cyclists and those just sitting looking out to sea. The car park was almost full by the time we got back to the car......we did treat ourselves to a small "99", the first of the year ;-)

It's taken a good while to whittle my shots down this evening, but we both chose the same one for today's blip......hope you like it :-)

It's my sis's birthday today........Happy Birthday Ali xx
