The Hottest Day Since 2004

Another record was reached again with these high temperatures we have had for the last couple of days, today it reached 44c.
Needless to say we didn't venture out at all today, i was hoping for a particularly good sunset as its my only blip today, I confess to hubby climbing on the roof to get this shot, crazy i know, 10 minutes later i took the extra shot, the further the hot sun sizzled down into the ocean the skies became redder.
4 hours later we now have a thunder and lightening storm  raging over the ocean, no rain just intense flashes and a lot of rumbling.
