Nice name for a vet!

Paddy is our Jack Russell. He came to us 3 years ago, aged approx 18 months. We were his 4th home and he had sufferred both neglect and abuse. Thankfully, he's a placid little soul, with PEOPLE! Animals are another matter. I have never come across a dog who will bark at photos of other animals.

Anyway, we have a massive population of urban foxes and they send Paddy wild. Unfortunately it's at the stage where he will get up 4 or 5 times a night to bark at them and check his perimeter hasn't been breached.

Our vet explained that although instinctive his behaviour is anxiety fuelled in that now he has a safe and cosy home he feels compelled to protect it.

We have come a long way with Paddy, working on separation anxiety, but have tried lots of things to ensure a night's sleep. None have worked and today I had to give in and agree to a short course of doggy prozac. Poor pup!
