Looking for frogspawn or tadpoles

One of the first turns around the golf course footpaths today in clear, sunny weather with a bitingly cold wind. We didn't see any frogspawn though. We'd like to see some in our pond sooner or later.

Took Doreen to Dobbies for a mooch around this afternoon, second time in a week we've been there. No change in the stock though but I did buy some peat free compost. Not sure about whether this is a good idea as all the reviews say peat free is not as good as peat based composts. We've used it in the past and I have been a little concerned about it.

This evening was my debut with my ukulele at the Style Bridge Folk Club. I played, or rather murdered, Streets of London by Ralph McTell, fortunately my missed or fluffed chords were drowned out by the enthusiastic singing of all around.
