Immortal tulips!

I bought 5 tulips last week particularly to take pics as they opened, then died. But they haven't ! They still look almost the same as a week ago (see extra pic). There was bright sunshine today so I took them out into the garden and tried some centre-jour. 
Most people complain that flowers don't last very long - and here I am moaning because they are lasting more than a week !
