Forsythia flowers

For a few days now, I've had some Forsythia branches in a vase in the living room. They were still in bud when I bought them but as you can see, they've opened up very nicely since then.

After a lie in, which unfortunately only stretched to just after 8 am, today has been as quiet and relaxed as possible. I only made some soup, took a few photos of the Forsythia flowers for my blip, stuck a load of washing in the machine and just enjoyed Rosie's company for the rest of the day.
