Peggy's Path

Peggy's Path is a short footpath joining Wilkins Green Lane with the Alban Way, and in doing so keeping walkers, runners and cyclists away from a busy and dangerous stretch of road. It's part of a four or five mile loop that I run regularly, and is named after its instigator, Peggy Hughes, who established the path during her time as a local councillor and mayor. Every time I run past the sign, I always think  how lovely it is for Peggy to be remembered in this way.
