Phadraig Hill Vitrified Iron Age Fort

A hill whose sides are deeply forested suddenly opens out at the top with this big oval green space. We are now looking as near to the inside of an iron age fort as we are going to get. 'Vitrified' means that fire was used to fuse the stone walls together. It's all under dense grass now, but it is interesting that the shape of the fort is still abundantly apparent.
